Shane was nominated by his wife, who said, “I nominate my husband, Shane Paras. He is a lineman at Kissimmee Utility Authority. He's an extremely hard worker, but during hurricane and storm season, it's hard work on another level. When most are hunkered down, safe with family, he is out working hard to get people powered back up. During Hurricane Maria, he volunteered to go to Puerto Rico to help restore power. He worked 36 16-hour days in a row. He worked 15 days in Tallahassee and Chattahoochee recently after Hurricane Michael. He works hard, never complains, and loves helping out. Especially in devastating times”.
